These are:
(1) How has the approach delineated by Susan Wise Bauer worked for us?
- How effective is the 3-stage approach recommended?
- What are some of the questions that have worked particularly well? Why?
- Which questions do we struggle with and why?
- What other questions might we need to ask ourselves for each stage of the inquiry?
- How do our analyses compare to those of professional critics?
- What are some of the areas that we have done well?
- What are some of the areas that we need to work harder on?
- What are some of the things that we might need to do differently? (other than not bringing the kids along ;p )
- How can we better support one another in our education journey?
- Are there other books that we find interesting and want to consider including in the list? Which ones and why?
- Are there books that, after reading and discussing, we think should not be on the list?
Thank You Ee Wan for your thought provoking questions. I know from the Grand Rapids group, we have found the 3 stage approach effective. Many of us with literature degrees have agreed that we have been very stimulated through our discussions and study. We learn so much from our books and have made many connections with others while we discuss. We have learned about history, human nature, the human questions, culture and what moves us.
